Growing in Our Own Way

As autumn brings changing colors and falling leaves, we are reminded of the beauty of God’s creation. No two leaves are exactly alike, yet each contributes to the beauty of the season. In much the same way, every student at Meadow View Junior Academy brings unique gifts, talents, and perspectives to our school community.

This week, our students explored creativity through writing and art, using their imaginations to see the world from a different perspective. Activities like these remind us that learning is not only about finding the right answers, but also about discovering new ways to think, express ourselves, and appreciate the world around us.

As we continue through the school year, may we encourage each child to develop the gifts God has given them. Together, our differences make our school community stronger.

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” – Psalm 139:14 (KJV)

Creativity was in full swing at MVJA this week!

Our students participated in a creative writing exercise that challenged them to imagine what life would be like as a leaf. Through brainstorming and journaling, they practiced using sensory details to describe what they might see, hear, and feel.

Students then brought their creativity into art by designing leaves using different types of lines. This activity provided another opportunity to explore patterns, artistic expression, and the beauty of autumn.

This week, we had the joy of celebrating a birthday in our school family! Birthdays are a wonderful reminder of the gift of life and the blessings God gives us through the people around us.

We are grateful for every member of our MVJA family and the unique gifts and personalities they bring to our school community.

If you know a family looking for a Christ-centered education where students are known, loved, and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually, we’d love to welcome them to our school family.

We are in need of volunteers to help with student supervision, building maintenance and projects, and transportation.

If you are able to help in any of these areasβ€”or in another wayβ€”please contact jcarnahan@mvja.org.
