The Little Things Matter
Some weeks seem to pass in the blink of an eye, yet when we stop to reflect, we realize just how much has taken place. This week at Meadow View Junior Academy was one of those weeks, filled with learning, celebrations, and reminders that even the smallest actions can make a difference.
In recognition of National Bullying Prevention Month, our chapel focused on the importance of kindness and standing up for others. Students explored the difference between being a bystander, someone who witnesses a situation, and an upstander, someone who chooses to take positive action. It was encouraging to see our students understand that making a difference doesn’t always require a grand gesture. Sometimes, it begins with speaking up, including someone who feels left out, or simply choosing kindness.
Throughout the week, students continued growing in their learning. Our kindergarteners explored vowels, while other students worked on posters highlighting dietary recommendations and healthy choices. We also had the joy of celebrating a birthday, reminding us that each life is a precious gift from God.
As we reflect on another week, may we remember that the little things matter. Every kind word, every new discovery, and every opportunity to encourage someone else helps shape the community we are building together.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” β 1 John 3:18 (NIV)

π A Closer Look
Learning and Growing
Learning continued across the grades this week at MVJA!
Our kindergarten students focused on vowels and the important role they play in reading and forming words. Each new sound and letter brings them one step closer to becoming confident readers.
Our older students explored healthy eating by drafting posters highlighting dietary recommendations. This activity encouraged students to think about nutrition and the choices we make to care for our bodies.
π Birthday Blessings
This week, we had the joy of celebrating a birthday in our school family! Birthdays are a wonderful reminder of the gift of life and the blessings God gives us through the people around us.
We are grateful for every member of our MVJA family and the unique gifts and personalities they bring to our school community.
